VLOG POST: Our first trip to Mexico was one we’ll never forget – complete with chips & pico de gallo *all day, everyday* (seriously… breakfast, lunch, and dinner)!

We were a little worried about this trip to Cancún in light of everything happening on the news, but it turned out to be fine. We felt safe once we made it to our resort, and we stayed put most of the trip. We did have an interesting start, however.

We weren’t use to the hagglers at the airport and their desperation (which would have been sad if it wasn’t so ridiculously annoying). And once we got to the hotel we had to have a room change. Why, do you ask? Let me tell you.

We left the airport in a taxi. When we arrived to our hotel, the woman out front didn’t speak English and our name wasn’t on her list. So we go inside and wait our turn at the front desk. The woman there was extremely helpful and got us ready to go in no time. We take the elevator to the third floor. We walk up to our door, and I turn around and look at AJ with a smile on my face, “you ready?” I slide my key in the door and walk forward. As soon as the door opens I hear a woman yell, “I could have been naked!!!!”……. Yep: they gave us someone else’s room! She’s sitting on the bed in a robe and I tell her, “this is our room.” She tells me, in fact, “no, this is my room.”

Long story short… we got a better room, on a higher floor, with a balcony we didn’t ask for. So in a way we lucked out, but that has never happened to me before. It was quite the start to our four day vacay!

And what a vacay it was. So much *FOOD* and so much *FUN*. There is nothing quite as relaxing as the sound of crystal clear blue water crashing against the white sand shore.

Instead of writing about this one, I thought it best to let you in on the views yourself. So here is my vlog of our trip. Enjoy!
